Health Benefits

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Eligible faculty and staff, along with their spouses or Second Domiciled Adults (SDAs), dependent children, and children of SDAs, may enroll in DePaul's medical, dental and vision plans. Coverage will be effective from the first day of the month following or coinciding with their employment start date. For faculty with a 7/1 hire date, please refer to your offer letter for your benefits effective date.

The university and its faculty and staff both contribute to the cost of the medical and dental plans. The vision plan is paid for entirely by those participants who enroll in it. View the Summary Plan Descriptions.

Transparency in Coverage Final Rules

The Transparency in Coverage Final Rules require certain group health plans to disclose on a public website information regarding in-network provider rates and historical out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services in two separate machine-readable files (MRFs). Click here for the MRFs for the benefit package options under the DePaul University Health and Welfare Benefits Plan.
