New Employee Orientation

Welcome to DePaul! We are thrilled to have you join our talented workforce who are committed to helping make an extraordinary education accessible to the next generation of diverse innovators and leaders.

Your introduction to the DePaul community will begin with New Employee Orientation. You will receive an email communication with your specific orientation dates and details, but below you will find an overview of this program.

NEO Session 1 – Your First Day as a DePaul Employee
On the morning of your first day you will come to the Loop Campus to complete the must-do tasks to get you started at DePaul including: mandatory paperwork, benefits information, university ID card, and getting set up in the university's computer system (BlueSky). In the afternoon, you’ll meet with your manager as well as complete an online orientation module.

NEO Session 2 – Learning More about DePaul
During your first or second week at DePaul, you’ll visit the Lincoln Park Campus. You’ll be introduced to our university mission, values, culture and business practices and get just-in-time resources to support your transition to DePaul and to your new job role. During the day, speakers from the following areas will be presenting:
  • Mission and Ministry
  • Human Resources
  • Office of Student Employment
  • Office of Gender Equity

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Workplace Learning and Performance team at training@depaul.edu or (312) 362-8342. And again—welcome to DePaul!
