The DePaul University Computer Replacement Program provides one computer to all staff/faculty employees.
Information Services (IS) has established guidelines for replacement of desktop and laptop computers on a four-year cycle based on availability of funds and instruction from university leadership. Under the replacement plan, each full-time employee will receive a new computer when their existing computer has reached the end of its four-year lifecycle.
The program benefits faculty and staff by equipping them with tested, predictable, and reliable hardware and software configurations, resulting in a computing experience that is easier to use and to support. Removing older, outdated equipment from the network also reduces the overall cost of desktop and mobile computer support and maintenance.
