IS Access Requests

Information Services has updated the request process for several services that IS provides for DePaul employees, consolidating them into one request form and adding additional workflow controls and tracking.  To submit an IS Access Request, log into Campus Connect, go to Self Service, IS Service Requests, and click on My Requests.

Once you submit the form, each request will begin a workflow consisting of one or more approval steps.  PeopleSoft or BlueSky Access Requests and ImageNow Access requests will begin the approval workflows by sending an email to the first approver, notifying them they need to review a request.

You may track the status of your open requests in the My Requests page.  Just click on the details link in the list to see the details for all individual access requests from that request.

More detailed instructions may be found here

DePaul manages multiple systems and each system has hundreds of separate security roles in them.  Unless you do this frequently and know the exact role to request, reach out to the functional security area to discuss your needs.  You may find the relevant contact on the form once you select the Owner (e.g. Admissions, Student Records, Financial Aid, etc.).

You may track the status of your PeopleSoft, BlueSky and ImageNow access requests in the My IS Service Requests page.  To do this, click on the details link in the list to see the details for all individual access requests from that request.

Whenever a request has been fully completed and access provisioned, or if it is denied for any reason, and email will be sent to the requestor and the employee's supervisor.
The My Request Archive page allows a user to look up any completed requests they have made.
This form is limited to current DePaul staff and faculty.
In the event that the responsible manager is unavailable to approve service requests, a Proxy approver may be set up for the manager.  This proxy approver will be able to approve all requests normally sent to the manager, until the proxy approval authorization is removed.  Proxy approvers can be added (and removed) using the IS Service Request Form. Proxy requests will automatically be approved and set up, with emails going to the requestor, the Proxy, and the manager/supervisor.

On the access request form, once you select a service (e.g. PeopleSoft, BlueSky and ImageNow), and then select a functional area (e.g. Human Resources, Student Financials, etc.), you will see a description of the scope represented by that functional area, as well as a contact that can assist with answering questions regarding access.

If a manager or supervisor would prefer to delegate the approval of service requests to someone else, a Proxy approver may be set up for the manager. This proxy approver will be able to approve all requests normally sent to the manager, until the proxy approval authorization is removed. Proxy approvers can be added (and removed) using the IS Access Request Form. Proxy requests will automatically be approved and set up, with emails going to the requestor, the Proxy, and the manager/supervisor.

Approvers (including supervisors, and employees that need to sign off on requests) can access all outstanding requests in the My Approvals page.  Departmental approvers can find additional details on the process, along with how to request updates to the approver group members and and group details here
This request form and workflow is only designed for DePaul employees.  If you are requesting PeopleSoft or ImageNow access for a non-employee Friend of DePaul, please reach out to the appropriate area directly via email.
  1. PeopleSoft access: email the functional area in question (e.g. hrsecurity@depaul.edu, fasecurity@depaul.edu, etc.).  If you are unsure, the department and contact email can be found inside the form, or you can email pssecurity@depaul.edu or netadmin@depaul.edu.
  2. ImageNow access: email ImageNowAdmin@depaul.edu and they can assist you in coordinating with the right drawer owners for approval.
