"A process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential."
--Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration
Our Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) embodies the Take Care DePaul message by fostering connection and support among all interested students. By being a part of this community, students will succeed academically, socially, and personally in a safe, supportive, and collective environment. Recovery can mean different things to different people, but at DePaul’s CRC, all are welcome. The CRC is open to any DePaul student who identifies as being in recovery, whether from substance use/misuse, eating concerns, and/or mental health concerns. There are lots of ways to be involved. DePaul is a proud member of the Association of Recovery in Higher Education. ARHE is the only association exclusively representing collegiate recovery programs communities (CRCs), the faculty and staff who support them, and the students who represent them.
