Classroom Technology Training

Classroom Technology

To make sure all faculty have the opportunity to feel comfortable prior to their first day of class, Information Services and the Center for Teaching and Learning are offering a series of Open Houses. These sessions will provide you with an opportunity to come to campus and get some facilitated hands-on training in the classroom.

The sessions will cover both basic and advanced skills, including:

  • How to activate and manage content shown on the new projector screens (many of which have been replaced with large TV screens).
  • How to use new digital whiteboard interfaces (some classrooms may no longer have a traditional whiteboard/chalkboard)
  • How to connect with remote participants via Zoom if you'll be teaching in a classroom designed for Flex instruction (also known as a Zoom+ or trimodal) or want to bring in participants (like guest lecturers) remotely.

Sessions will be held every Tuesday and Thursday on both campuses - starting August 3rd. Multiple room types will be available and staff will be there to show you the equipment and answer any questions you may have.  No reservations are required.
