Report NowNotice of Non-Discrimination on the Basis of Sex
DePaul University does not discriminate on the basis of sex, which includes gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, pregnancy, parental status and family relationship status, in its education programs and activities and admissions. Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and certain other federal and state laws, prohibit discrimination on the basis of sex in employment, as well as in all education programs and activities operated by the university (both on and off campus). The protection against discrimination on the basis of sex includes sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, sexual violence and gender based dating and domestic violence and stalking.
The following people have been designated to handle inquiries regarding the non-discrimination policies:
Director of Gender Equity (Title IX Coordinator)
The director of Gender Equity (Title IX coordinator) is designated with primary responsibility to monitor and oversee overall campus-wide implementation of Title IX including training, education, communications and administration of complaint procedures for faculty, staff, students and third parties in the areas of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual violence, sexual misconduct, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
Deputy Title IX Coordinators
Deputy Title IX Coordinators work with the Title IX Coordinator/Director of the Office of Gender Equity to ensure compliance with federal and state statutes. They are designated via their functional areas to assist with the administration and implementation of population-specific programs, processes, and procedures. Deputy Coordinators also are identified within their department/area so those within that area have a point of contact to speak with regarding questions and potential concerns. Departments and functional areas do not designate deputy coordinators as a mandatory starting point for making a report, but they MAY be utilized in this way.
