John Grobmyer joined DePaul University as a Title IX/ Gender Equity Investigator in the Office of Gender Equity in March 2024. As an investigator, John investigates complaints of discrimination and harassment based on protected categories surrounding gender and reports those findings to the Director of the Office of Gender Equity.
After being honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps, John went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law in 2017. Prior to joining DePaul, John served as the District Defender of the Missouri State Public Defenders for the 34th Judicial Circuit in Missouri, where he zealously represented indigent people accused of felony crimes.
On his downtime, John enjoys long walks on the beach with his pups, reading, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs.
