Kate Costigan joined DePaul University as a gender equity investigator in the Office of Gender Equity in April 2021. As a gender equity investigator, Kate performs investigations of complaints of discrimination and harassment based on protected categories surrounding gender, performs sensitive investigations acting as a fact gatherer, and is responsible for written and verbal communication surrounding investigations.
Prior to her role at DePaul, Kate served as a graduate recruiter at Dominican University in their Graduate Enrollment Department for four years. In addition to her full-time role at Dominican, Kate served as a Title IX Investigator for three years. Prior to her time in Graduate Enrollment, Kate was the Alumnae/i Relations and development assistant within University Advancement at Dominican.
Kate earned her MA in mediation and conflict resolution at Dominican University and her BA in family and consumer sciences at Eastern Illinois University.
