Corcoran Hall is dedicated to former DePaul president, Rev. Francis V. Corcoran. Despite the many challenges he faced having assumed the presidency during the Great Depression, Corcoran oversaw the addition of several new academic departments such as drama, theology and nursing, marking a significant rise in the scholastic standards of the university. Some even refer to his tenure as “the Golden Age of DePaul.”
Overlooking Cacciatore Stadium at Wish Field, this four-story building provides double rooms in a traditional-style residence hall with community bathrooms with private showers. There are also limited single rooms available (no floor plan available). Corcoran Hall consistently has one of the strongest communities on campus. Rooms are not air-conditioned, but there are air-conditioned community lounges on all floors. There are laundry rooms, music practice rooms and study rooms on every floor for student use. Kitchens are available on the second and fourth floor, and a collaboration lounge is located on the third floor. All of the beds in Corcoran Hall are extra-long twins. Corcoran Hall is a predominantly first-year student residence hall.
