Life in a residence hall is an important aspect of a college experience. Residence halls are more than just rooms or places to sleep. They are places where students develop meaningful friendships, explore new ideas and get involved with the university community. Living in on-campus housing provides the opportunity to learn to balance the academic and social aspects of life at DePaul University. Residents often live on campus for the sense of community, safety and convenience.

Housing Agreement Information
New, Incoming Students
You must be admitted to DePaul University in order to apply for on-campus housing. Once admitted, set up your Campus Connect account. Your username and temporary password are included in your application acknowledgment letter from the Office of Admissions. If you have lost your login information, contact the Help Desk at (312) 362-8765.
Log in to myhousing.depaul.edu. Click the Housing Agreement tab and select your chosen academic year. Follow the instructions to complete and submit the agreement.
A $400 prepayment is required for all new, incoming students in order for your agreement to be complete. If you are under 18 years old at the time of applying, you will also need to fill out the parent/guardian voucher and return the form to our office by sending it via postal mail or by scanning and emailing it.

Current residents interested in returning to campus housing for the 2018-19 academic year, or continuing students who do not live in a residence hall and want to, must fill out agreements before April 1, 2018, to participate in the room selection process. In-person selection appointments will happen in April for both Loop and Lincoln Park campus housing options.

New, Incoming Students
For the 2018-19 academic year, roommate requests will not be accepted after June 1, 2018. Specific roommate requests may be submitted when completing the housing agreement or may be updated in Housing Connection before June 1. Roommate requests will be taken into consideration when assignments are made but are not guaranteed. As a reminder, all roommate requests must be mutual and of the same gender and class standing.
Roommate requests can only be processed if you are confirmed for housing when assignments are made in June. Students are not required to request a roommate. Roommates will be assigned at random if a request cannot be granted or is not made.
Continuing students will have the opportunity to be assigned a preferred roommate at room selection. Students should attend room selection at the same time as their preferred roommate (s) to be assigned together. More information will be included in the room selection packet students will receive with their appointment date and time.
To attend room selection, the housing agreement must be completed before April 1. Students would then be notified of their in-person room selection appointment the first week in April.
If a continuing student does not attend room selection or submits the housing agreement after April 1, they will be assigned roommates at random.
