We encourage all faculty and staff who manage student employees to participate in OSE training sessions. These trainings bring managers together to discuss the most effective ways of managing students. The classes present an engaging atmosphere that encourages managers to share successes as well as challenges they have encountered when managing student employees.
To support managers working with student employees, the Office of Student Employment offers the Student Employee Manager Certificate Program. Managers are required to complete four core classes to achieve certification. The certification is an important step for you to develop managerial practices.
To enroll in any of these courses, navigate to BlueSky. Click on the Me tab and then select the Learning tile. Find each course by typing the course title into the search bar at the top of the page. Click "Enroll" to select a class section.
Required Core Classes (All 4 courses):
For Winter and Spring 2021, the core courses will be delivered in a virtual, synchronous format via Zoom.
