Transition Leaders (TLs) work directly with transfer students during theTransfer Student Orientation program, Transition DePaul. Transition Leaders are a valuable resource to new transfer students and their family members during the transition from their former institution to DePaul University. To help implement Transition DePaul, the Office
of New Student and Family Engagement selects 12 dynamic and mature
undergraduate students who have transferred into DePaul to serve as TLs.
Chicago Quarter Mentor
Chicago Quarter Mentors (CQMs) are an essential part of the Chicago Quarter Program and serve as a resource to new students through their transition to DePaul University. More specifically, Chicago Quarter Mentors work with Professional Staff to deliver the Common Hour component of the Chicago Quarter course. Chicago Quarter Mentors work collaboratively with faculty and professional staff members to plan, deliver, and facilitate the broader curriculum of the assigned course. Chicago Quarter Mentors also connect with new students as a peer resource, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Application Process and Deadline
New Student and Family Engagement is hiring the next group of Chicago Quarter Mentors, Orientation Leaders, and Transition Leaders. Applications become available on the Campus Job Board on January 9th and close on January 23rd at 9:00 AM. All applicants must attend an info session before they apply.
