U-Pass: Winter Quarter Opt-Out Information

The CTA U-Pass provides unlimited rides on CTA buses and trains for undergraduate students enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. Eligible students are charged quarterly for the U-Pass, and students can use it during each academic quarter (breaks are not covered). During breaks, students can add cash value to their card for CTA rides, the same way the regular CTA Ventra cards work. The U-Pass is helpful and cost effective for students who are enrolled in hybrid or in-person classes.

For eligible students who wish not to take advantage of the U-Pass program, they can opt out for the winter quarter and have the fee waived/refunded by filling out the OPT OUT FORM by January 30, 2023. Students who do not complete the Opt Out Form by January 30, 2023, will be charged the full fee, regardless of use.
