Identity-specific Student Centers

The identity-specific student centers are part of the Office of Multicultural Student Success, and were announced late in the 2016-17 academic year, after student, faculty and staff requests and a year-long study of similar centers at other universities.

The Black Cultural Center, Latinx Cultural Center, LGBTQA Resource Center and Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Center had their official grand opening on January 25, 2018. All four centers are located on the third floor of the O'Connell Building in Lincoln Park at 1036 W. Belden Ave.

The centers serve as a space for building community, sharing information, encouraging dialogue and supporting student retention and success.  They already have an exciting lineup of events: consider stopping by for one or two!
