About the APIDA Cultural Center
“APIDA” stands for Asian Pacific Islander Desi American. The APIDA Cultural Center is one of the four Cultural & Resource Centers at DePaul University. The APIDA Cultural Center provides a venue for all students to learn about APIDA culture, heritage, and traditions. The center is located on Lincoln Park Campus at O’Connell Hall, 1036 W. Belden Avenue, Room 340. The APIDA Cultural Center seeks to foster belonging for students by providing resources and opportunities for identity, academic, professional, and holistic development.
Services Offered
- Individual Student Support: APIDA connects students to university resources that address their concerns and foster personal, academic, professional, and holistic development.
Student Organization Support: APIDA provides leadership development, event planning, funding, and connection to campus resources.
Community Education: APIDA hosts spaces, workshops, dialogues, and trainings that raise awareness about individual and collective histories/stories of the APIDA diaspora.
University Collaborations: APIDA partners with faculty, staff, and departments to foster a sense of belonging at DePaul.
