Living the Mission

Living the Mission
The Division of Mission and Ministry invites all new staff to attend Living the Mission, an opportunity to explore a sense of DePaul’s history, the meaning of Vincentian values and the role these values play in the workplace at DePaul.

During this 2-hour program, in which a French-inspired breakfast is served—you will learn about the core characteristics of the Vincentian mission, and pivotal moments in DePaul’s history. You will also meet new colleagues from all over DePaul and hear from a panel of veteran employees who have found creative ways to interlace the Vincentian mission into their work and answer the Vincentian question: "What Must Be Done?”

Inspired by DePaul's 2024 strategic plan, “Grounded in Mission,” this program provides the opportunity to dialogue with peers about the place of mission in your daily work. Staff will also be invited to consider how your gifts and talents can contribute to the living legacy that is DePaul.

If you joined DePaul as a new employee within the last year and are interested in attending a Living the Mission program, or if you are interested in learning more about this and other mission-based programs for faculty and staff, please contact Siobhan O’Donoghue.

Living the Mission is run in partnership with DePaul’s Office of Human Resources. After being with DePaul for three months, new employees are invited to attend this program.
