We’re excited to introduce the Global Health Undergraduate Certificate (GHUC) this upcoming fall quarter for students interested in global health.
Building on the strong foundation of the Global Fluency Certificate, the Global Health Undergraduate Certificate will be offered as an approach that allows us to leverage established curriculum, infrastructure, and experiential learning opportunities while creating a focused pathway for students passionate about global health.
What students will do:
Take 4 Global Learning (GL) courses
Two of the courses must be: HLTH 360 Global Health and HLTH 272 Medical Anthropology
Take part in Global Experiential Learning: (examples: study abroad, a Global Learning Experience (GLE) course, or an international internship/service trip) (same as GFC)
Show proficient foreign language skills (same as GFC)
Maintain a 2.67 GPA or higher (same as GFC)
This certificate helps students connect their studies to real-world global health issues while building a broader global perspective.
