Application Review Process and Evaluation Criteria

All eligible and completed applications will be reviewed by a selection committee that includes members of the Comprehensive Internationalization Committee (CIC) and past award recipients. The committee will use a standardized rubric to assess each application based on impact, sustained engagement, and contributions to international education, research, service, cross-cultural understanding, and quality of the application materials.

The selection committee will evaluate applications using a standardized rubric designed to assess both the depth and breadth of each applicant’s global engagement. The rubric considers six key areas: Impact on Global Education, Research and Creative Activities, Service and Partnerships, Advancing Global Competency and Cross-Cultural Understanding, Quality of Application Materials, and Sustained Engagement. Reviewers will score each category on a scale from limited to exemplary, looking for clear evidence of long-term commitment, meaningful contributions, and demonstrated outcomes in international education, research, and service. Applicants are encouraged to submit well-organized, thorough materials that clearly articulate the significance and impact of their global work.
