Project Summary :
This Global Learning Experience brought together students from DePaul University's School of Cinematic Arts and the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University (MUNI) in Brno, Czech Republic, to co-create short experimental non-fiction films around the theme of "Belonging." Through cross-cultural collaboration, student pairs worked together to develop, produce, and edit documentary projects that explored what it means to belong — across place, identity, and culture. The project emphasized creative production, intercultural dialogue, and nonfiction storytelling, giving students firsthand experience in navigating the artistic and communicative challenges of international filmmaking.
