To be eligible for participation in the Arnold Mitchem Fellows Program, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be either (i) a first-generation college student, (ii) low-income or (iii) a member from a racial/ethnic group underrepresented in graduate school (e.g., U.S. Department of Education defines as African American/Black, Native American, Hispanic/Latino and Alaskan Native)
- Be a sophomore by the time of program enrollment
- Have and maintain a 2.7 cumulative GPA or above
- Have a sincere desire to learn about research and graduate school
Note: Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee admission into the program.
