Fraternity & Sorority Life

  • Nearly 1,200 members and 29 chapters make up the Fraternity and Sorority Community here at DePaul. There are 12 male fraternities, 16 female sororities, and 1 co-educational organization. DePaul Fraternity and Sorority members make up approximately 10% of the student population and are involved in several other student organizations across campus. Our chapters are governed by four councils: Interfraternity Council (IFC), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and Panhellenic Council (PHC).

Each offers the opportunity to meet new friends, participate in service and social events, as well as attend local and national leadership programs. Each year Fraternity and Sorority Leaders participate in over 20,000 hours of community service and raise over $150,000 for local and national philanthropies. Please follow @IFCDePaul, @DePaulMGC @DePaulNPHC or @DePaulPanhel to stay updated about events and programs sponsored by the Fraternity and Sorority Life community.

Multicultural Greek Council Retreat: This retreat is for leaders in our MGC Community to connect with other MGC Leaders both at DePaul and in the area. MGC students spend the day discussing issues and concerns that their organizations face.

Badge Day Tea: International Badge Day is typically held the first weekend of March. All of our sorority women come together to celebrate their membership in their organizations. This event is for affiliated women and alumni.

Full-Council Leadership Retreat: This retreat takes all of our Full-Council officers and chapter presidents to a retreat site to discuss our community, values and leadership skills and how they align with the mission and values of DePaul and our fraternity and sorority community. This event occurs during the Spring Quarter.

Fraternity and Sorority Life Week: This is a week of events where the fraternity and sorority community participates in programs and events that celebrate the values of DePaul and FSL. Here, members promote and highlight the talents and dedication of the fraternity and sorority life community.
