All Your Commencement Questions Answered

Commencement is a special time for students to commemorate their academic achievements, the life experiences they’ve gained and the friendships they have built throughout their time at DePaul, and to celebrate all of these accomplishments with their family and friends. The Commencement Website was created to ensure students and their families have all the information they need in order to participate in this year’s commencement ceremonies.

Most school and college ceremonies will take place on June 10-11, except for the College of Law ceremony, which will be on May 20. Graduating students should review the Graduate Checklist to ensure eligibility for commencement.

Graduating students should plan to purchase regalia through the Herff Jones ordering site. The deadline to RSVP for commencement and purchase regalia is April 12 for the College of Law and April 26 for all other schools and colleges. More information about this process can be found on the Cap & Gown web page.

Planning to attend? The commencement team has created a dedicated web page for commencement guests. In order to bring guests, students must RSVP to their ceremony through Campus Connect. After completing the RSVP process, they will be able to pick up their tickets at Commencement Pickup. All attendees for ceremonies taking place on June 10-11 will be required to have a physical ticket in order to enter. Tickets for the College of Law ceremony will be distributed digitally. Children who are under 32 inches in height do not need a ticket to enter the arena. Adults attending with children will be allowed to have one child sit on his/her lap. More information about the ticketing process, as well as how students can enter the lottery to be placed on a waitlist to receive unclaimed tickets, can be found on the Tickets web page

Students and their guests are also invited to participate in Baccalaureate Mass on Friday, June 9. Students must RSVP in order to attend the mass and the post-mass reception. More information about these events can be found on the Baccalaureate Mass web page

Graduating students are also encouraged to follow the DePaul Office of Alumni Relations on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to stay up to date on upcoming alumni events, benefits, services and more. They can visit the Class of 2023 page to learn more about how to stay connected and register for events.
