Fall quarter is upon us, so you and your student should really be thinking about purchasing books now. To make acquiring books and other course materials a little easier on you, we're sharing some information about purchasing or renting books from the DePaul Bookstore.
Some important things to know:
- The DePaul University bookstore price matches (certain parameters apply) and offers a number of buying options, including new, used, rental new, rental used and digital.
- Use the textbook wizard on the Lincoln Park or Loop Campus bookstore website to find course materials.
- Your student can also determine which books and materials to purchase in Campus Connect, and can purchase right from the system! Following are instructions for doing that:
- Choose Manage Classes
- Then choose View My Classes
- At the top of your schedule are 3 links to see your textbook requirements for Loop Classes, Lincoln Park Classes, Suburban and Online Classes
- Each link will take you to your personalized booklist for classes at that location
4. Students have to purchase books from the campus store where their class is located, whether they purchase in person or online. Students purchase books from the Loop campus bookstore for online classes.
5. Your student can purchase online and pick up in the store, or have books shipped. If they choose to ship, make sure they order early so they get their books before classes start on Wednesday, September 8.
6. Download the My College Bookstore App from Google Play or the Apple App Store to make
purchasing course materials even easier!
There's a lot of excitement as we welcome students 'home' to DePaul this fall. We hope your book purchasing experience adds to the excitement of fall quarter!
