Commencement: What Parents and Families of the Class of 2022 Need to Know

Congratulations Class of 2022!

After two years of virtual commencements due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the university will hold in-person commencement ceremonies at Wintrust Arena and via webcast in 2022! Most college ceremonies will be held June 11-12, 2022 and the DePaul University College of Law graduation ceremony will be held via webcast and at the Chicago Theatre at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Prospective graduates have the option to purchase cap and gown orders via Herff Jones for personal photos and private celebrations. Find details about cap and gown orders here.

All graduates may receive a maximum of six tickets for their ceremony and must RSVP to reserve them. Information regarding commencement ceremony tickets can be found here.

Leading up to commencement, DePaul has planned a series of in-person and remote activities to celebrate the Class of 2022. Specific dates and events have yet to be announced, but the university encourages students to check the commencement webpage for more details in the upcoming weeks.

The university will continue to monitor CDC and CDPH recommendations related to the COVID-19 pandemic and provide any updates to the community through emails, Newsline and DePaul’s commencement website. Please be sure to check for updates regularly.
