GradGuard Insurance

With the ongoing pandemic, it can be easy to forget about other personal or medical issues that your student may be going through. Aside from the virus, there are other things, like mental health struggles or an accident, that could happen during the quarter that may impact your student’s ability to finish their classes. Without proper coverage, you and your student may be subject to losing some—or all—of the money you have paid toward their college tuition and expenses. During these challenging times, the last thing we want is for you to lose any money.

This is why DePaul suggests students and families sign up for the GradGuard Protection Plan, an insurance plan that guarantees that students and their families are reimbursed for certain college expenses in the event of an emergency.

By paying a premium equal to one percent of the cost of tuition, the GradGuard Protection Plan is able to reimburse tuition, housing and other payment if your student needs to withdraw for reasons such as a serious illness or injury, mental health disorder or the death of a tuition payer.
