Vice President's Cabinet

The vice president’s cabinet is one part of the participatory leadership of the Division of Student Affairs. The cabinet consists of the vice president, three associate vice presidents, the Dean of Students and an assistant vice president. Each AVP represents one area of the division, which encompasses two or more departments in the division or multiple functional roles. The vice president’s cabinet manages a team of direct reports and represent their areas to the vice president during cabinet meetings, but also consult on and assist the vice president with divisional planning, goal setting, crisis management, budgeting, policy and process development, and high level communications, among other things. They also act as key communicators of university and divisional policy, processes and priorities to their areas. Much of their work is done in concert with the divisional council, except for the most sensitive of divisional matters.
