The vice president’s cabinet consists
of the vice president and three associate vice presidents (AVPs). The associate vice presidents are responsible for providing leadership and guidance to departments in the division. The AVPs also consult on
and assist the vice president with divisional planning, goal setting, crisis
management, budgeting, policy and process development, and high level
communications, among other things. They also act as key communicators of
university and divisional policy, processes and priorities to their areas. Much
of their work is done in concert with the divisional council, except for the
most sensitive of divisional matters.
