Information on this page pertains to Lincoln Park residents. University Center residents will receive specific information from the University Center management office in early June. It is imperative that move-out deadlines are met due to short turnover periods. Residents who do not move out on time may receive a $150 improper move fee.
Residents continuing with summer housing will receive special instructions with their summer assignment letter and must be available June 12 for summer move-in.
Current residents must check out by noon on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

If you are taking part in graduation ceremonies and need an extension, you must notify the Department of Housing Services at least two weeks prior to graduation.
Preparing for Move-Out
- Remove all personal items. Unwanted, gently used items can be donated to the DePaul SWAP rummage sale.
- Remove posters, tape, sticky tack and strips from walls. You will be assessed a damage fee for holes found in walls from hanging pictures or decorations.
- Clean room including suite bathrooms and in-unit kitchens and appliances.
- Remove garbage.
- Return furniture to its original position including un-bunking beds, disassembling rented lofts and reassembling original beds.
- Defrost, clean and dry rented micro-fridge units. See the Rental Return Information Sheetfor details or contact RHC with questions. You may leave rental items in your unit.
- Lock room and bathroom door when exiting unit for the last time.
- Remember to change mailing address with Campus Connect and inform any senders of the new address.
Check-Out Procedures & Check-Out Stations
- Return mailbox key to the Student Mail Center in Student Center, Suite 317.
- Return room key to your designated key return station and complete a check-out slip.

Moving Carts & Freight Elevators
Residents may borrow moving carts from the Munroe Hall entryway by presenting their DePaul Student ID. Moving carts are only available during the following times. Freight elevators and/or loading dock doors will be available at Seton, University and Sanctuary halls (access door) only during the following hours:
June 2 - 3, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
June 6 - 8, 2018, from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
June 9, 2018, from 9 a.m. until noon
Confiscated items can be retrieved from Centennial Hall, Suite 301 with a DePaul ID Card and confiscation receipt during the following times only. Items not picked up will be discarded.
June 4 - 6, 2018, from noon until 4 p.m.
Note: You cannot access moving carts, freight elevators or confiscated item pickup outside of these times. Residents will be billed for unreturned or damaged moving carts.
Moving assistance is not available when moving out. Beginning Friday, June 1, from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m., residents will have the option of issuing guest wristbands to up to five guests who are actively involved in their move-out. The wristband will allow guests to come in and out without needing to be signed in and out each time. All guests are required to show a valid state- or government-issued ID and have a resident present before being issued a wristband. This option may only be used once by each resident.
Beginning Friday, June 1, 2018, and running through Saturday, June 9, 2018, the issued guest wristbands will also include one day of complimentary parking in the Sheffield Avenue or Clifton Avenue university parking garages. There are certain street locations that also have free parking. Please be mindful of city metering, tow zones, no-parking areas and street signage. There is no parking available for trailers on university property.
DePaul SWAP is a rummage sale that allows residents to donate unwanted items and clothing to be resold to raise money for an emergency fund for the DePaul community. Please donate any reusable items at donation locations in your residence hall June 4 - 11, 2018, from noon until 4 p.m., ahead of the event on June 13, 2018. Learn more.
Lincoln Park Meal Plan
After June 8, 2018, any balance remaining on your meal plan will be forfeited and is not refundable.
Common Damages & Cleaning Charges
Each room will be inspected by staff for damages and cleaning charges. If damages or cleaning issues are found, a fee will be assessed and an email will be sent to the email address you have listed in Campus Connect by August 1, 2018. Residents are held responsible for any changes in room condition (damages, missing items, etc.) that were not reported or did not exist at the time of move-in. All residents were given an opportunity to report pre-existing conditions in their room via the housing condition report provided to them upon check-in.
All damages will be split equally between roommates (and suitemates for bathroom charges), unless written notification by the responsible party is provided to firstname.lastname@example.org from the email address on file with the university by June 9, 2018, at the latest.
