The University Center opened in the fall of 2004 and is just steps from DePaul University's downtown Loop Campus. This 18-story residence hall houses approximately 400 DePaul students. Residents range from freshmen through law/graduate school students.

The University Center is a DePaul University residence hall that is shared with other local universities (Roosevelt University, Robert Morris University and Columbia College of Chicago). DePaul students are assigned to common floors and units, which allows for our students to get acquainted and build a DePaul community.

The University Center is equipped with amenities that cater to a wide array of student interests. The second floor of the building offers a fitness center equipped with elliptical machines, free weights, weight machines and treadmills; a recreational area with a pool table, ping-pong table and game room; a large in-house laundry room; and a full-service dining center for anyone with or without a meal plan. There are also various multimedia rooms, technology labs and lounges throughout the building. Other features include a rooftop terrace, central heat/air, meeting rooms, music practice rooms and an art studio for resident use. There are other services available to residents such as cleaning services and lock box rentals.

In addition, the University Center is staffed with a 24-hour professional security company and the building is open for the entire academic year, including breaks. Residents also have the opportunity to stay through the summer quarter.
