Is your student considering living off campus next year? Check out these resources!

Many DePaul students begin thinking about moving from home or the residence halls to an off-campus location near the Loop or Lincoln Park campus around this time of year. You probably have a lot of questions, so DePaul has some tips and resources for you as you and your student embark on this journey.

Housing Agreements for consideration of on-campus housing were due Monday, April 1 for the 2019-2020 academic year. If your student did not submit one but would like to live on campus next academic year, contact the Housing and Student Centers at housing@depaul.edu.

Many leases are up by May and June 1, so if your student decides to live off-campus next year, they should start looking for an apartment soon, as they will start to appear on the market now.

Commuter Student Affairs has partnered with Off-Campus Partners to establish a DePaul off-campus housing web page to help your student with their apartment search. They have compiled a helpful Off-Campus Housing Guide for you and your student to  look at, so make sure to take a look at these two important resources. If you have any questions, email commuter@depaul.edu.

There is also an Off-Campus Housing Fair in the Lincoln Park Student Center Atrium on Wednesday, April 24 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. We encourage students to attend the fair so they can meet with apartment representatives, learn about Chicago neighborhoods, find potential roommates and more!
