Faculty

Criteria, procedures and schedules for Full-Time Tenure Track Faculty members are detailed in the Evaluation of Faculty section of the Faculty Handbook.

There are two different types of evaluation that faculty undergo every year:

  • Probationary review for tenure-track faculty
    • All tenure-track faculty members are subject to annual probationary reviews, aimed at determining continuation or extension of contract and at assessing progress towards tenure.
  • Annual Performance Appraisal for all faculty (tenured, tenure track, non tenure track):
    • All full-time faculty are subject to an annual performance appraisal which may or may not result in a salary increase, depending on the university's financial situation.

The following table provides a roadmap for the various formal and informal reviews of tenure track faculty that are conducted:

Academic Year of Employment Purpose of Probationary Review Type of Review Recommended Deadlines for Review Notes
