TedX DePaul is Friday, April 12

Consider attending, or encourage your student to attend

TEDx DePaul University is back for its fourth year on Friday, April 12 at the newly open Holtschneider Performance Center. This year’s theme is “Fast Forward”. An independently organized event, TEDx is a local and self-organized program which brings DePaul community members together for a TED-like experience through video and live speakers who spark provoking thoughts and conversations.

There will be nine speakers from the DePaul community this year who will give talks focused on the “Fast Forward” theme: Josh Fort, Emad Mahoe, Bushra Amiwala, Lindsay Fredrickson, Enid Montague, Ellis Confer, Meredith Ferril, Amanda Blair MacDonlad and Tyree Taylor. You can learn more about the speakers here.

The theme will center on three main points, Envision: Imagine an improved future, Confront: Stand up to the challenges of today, and Reframe: Design a better tomorrow.

The TEDx DePaul University event is open to the public and welcomes everyone to purchase a ticket in order to hear the diverse group of DePaul faculty, staff, students and alumni that now serve as activists, youth mentors, company founders and champions of the arts, mental healthcare and the environment as they give inspiring and thought provoking talks this year.
