Family Weekend is just around the corner, and we have a schedule full of great events for your family and student to enjoy!
Last month, we highlighted some academic and college-based events, so this edition includes events taking place on campus and around the city available to Family Weekend participants:
- Enjoy DePaul: take a walk around campus on the Traditions Tour, tour the Library's Special Collections and the newly renovated second floor, or join us for Fall Harvest, an event planned by our student activities board, DAB.
- See Chicago: Take a trolley around Lincoln Park or down to the Loop, check out the Art Institute (for free with your DPU student!), and visit the Hancock Tower's 360 Chicago Observation Deck (with a discount!).
- Stay Connected: Spend time with other students and families and start the weekend off with our Kickoff Friday evening – complete with student group performances, a photo booth, and "customize your own"dinner options – and end the weekend with Sunday Brunch and the opportunity to meet DePaul's new president, Dr. A. Gabriel Esteban, Ph.D.
Register for the weekend now, and don't forget to register your student for their free ticket! Registration for the weekend is the only way to access many of these events on campus, and expedites the guest check-in process for your student's residence hall during the weekend. Pre-registration for Family Weekend closes (and the pre-registration rate expires) on Tuesday, October 3rd at 11:59 pm!
Miss the pre-registration window? No worries! You can register for the weekend on-site, once you arrive on campus on October 13th.
