Tableau Reports

​​​Tableau is a data visualization tool that is being used to assist the division in creating more dynamic reports for data housed in Student Affairs. Tableau allows users to extract data from Excel spreadsheets, databases and servers to quickly and easily convert the information into graphs that can be accessed online.

Student Affairs Reports 

The reports included on this page are built on various data sources such as DeHUB and PeopleSoft Student Groups. Below is a list of the reports. If you find that you do not have access to a report it could be because you do not have adequate permissions for that report. Please forward any questions about access to the IS Academic Support Team (ISAcademicSupport@depaul.edu).

​​Student Groups
  • Demographic Profile: This Dashboard shows demographics information for the students that belong to the selected PeopleSoft Student Group(s). This Dashboard is built on an extract of data that is refreshed daily.
  • Avg/Individual GPA: This Dashboard shows the range of an individual student's term GPA and Cumulative GPA. It also shows, the average GPA for all students in a particular PeopleSoft Student Group. The 'Term Descr' filter allows you to select the term for which you want to see the information. This filter will have three previous term options (excluding the ongoing and summer term ). Note: Data should only be considered finalized ten days after the term has ended. This Dashboard is built on an extract of data that is refreshed daily.
  • Group Enrollment: This Dashboard shows the number of students enrolled in the selected PeopleSoft Student Group. It also shows individual student enrollment within multiple Student Groups. This Dashboard uses live data which is refreshed at midnight.
  • Maintenance​: This Dashboard shows a summary of the status of the Student Affairs Students groups regarding the maintenance scheduled, organized by their corresponding department. Note: Active student numbers may not be matched with the total enrolled students in that group since students can be active in a PeopleSoft Student Group without being active students. This Dashboard uses live data which is refreshed at midnight. 
  • Active CSD: This report is only available for the Center of Students with Disabilities (CSD) staff. This report includes two dashboards regarding information for active students for the Center of Students with Disabilities.
  • Academic Performance: This report includes two dashboards regarding student's academic performance for the Student Affairs Groups' members. The first dashboard offers information at Group Level, the second dashboard shows information at Division Level.
  • Participant Form​: This report lists the information for students that have submitted their consent to participate in Student Affairs programs via the Student Affairs Participation Confirmation form.
  • Retention: The reports included in this section display retention and graduation rates of the members of the Student Affairs Student Groups.
    • ​​By Student Group​: This dashboard shows the first-year retention rates, four-year graduation rates, and six-year graduation rates of Student Affairs Student Groups, from 2008 until now. This report allows filtering by Ethnicity, Affiliation, Student Group, and Pell Eligibility.
    • By Ethnicity​: This dashboard shows the first-year retention rates, four-year graduation rates, and six-year graduation rates of Student Affairs Student Groups members categorized by Ethnicity, from 2008 until now. It compares non-Student-Affairs-Group members and group members. This report allows filtering by Ethnicity, Affiliation, Student Group, and Pell Eligibility.
    • By Pell Eligibility: This dashboard displays the first-year retention rates, four-year graduation rates, and six-year graduation rates of Student Affairs Student Groups members categorized by Pell Eligibility, from 2008 until now. It compares non-Student-Affairs-Group members and group members. This report allows filtering by Ethnicity, Affiliation, Student Group, and Pell Eligibility.​
DeHUB
  • Events Participation: This DeHUB Events dashboard was created to allow staff in Student Affairs to access metrics related to the events they swipe ID cards for within DeHUB. The dashboard allows staff to select one or multiple events which will result in the display of the demographic profile for students that attended the selected event(s).
  • Group Member Lookup​: This Dashboard shows demographics information for the students that belong to the selected Student Organization(s). 
Space Usage
  • Cultural and Resource Centers: This report displays data about demographics as well as daily and monthly visits regarding visits made to the Cultural and Resource Centers spaces: Black Cultural Center (BCC); Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) Cultural Center; Latinx Cultural Center (LCC), and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and Ally (LGBTQIA+) Resource Center.​
