Research Involving Human Blood, Tissue, or Cells

If your research involves recombinant or synthetic nucleic acid molecules, potentially pathogenic substances, CDC/APHIS select toxins or agents, or other biohazardous agents (for example, human blood, cells, or tissue), your protocol will need to be reviewed and approved by the IBC before submitting your research protocol to the IRB.

For more information on the IBC, please visit the IBC page.
