Cody Newkirk joined DePaul University in August 2026 as a Resident Director of LeCompte/Munroe Hall. In his role, he seeks to challenge students to learn and grow through meaningful experiences while fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment within the residential halls. Prior to his role at DePaul, Cody served as the Residence Hall Director for Governors State University.
Cody originates from a small town in Indiana called Darlington. He currently holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in human resource development from Indiana State University. He intends on pursuing another degree in the near future as well.
In his spare time, Cody enjoys spending time with his girlfriend Janiya, and their 2 dogs Mocha and Maverick. Some of Cody's hobbies include building 3D puzzles, playing spades, and collecting/watching DVDs.
