Mission and Past Year Recaps

DePaul SWAP is a rummage sale that began in 2009. It raises money to assist DePaul students in need through the Office of Mission and Ministry's Vincentian Assistance Fund. The initiative also aims to educate students on how upcycling their items can help reduce waste, as all items left over are donated to Chicagoland nonprofits. In 2019, DePaul SWAP raised $3,757. Since its inception, it has raised $25,609!

Volunteer Opportunities

Each year we look for individuals who can volunteer time during finals week to gather and sort items that are received. We also look for students, faculty and staff to work the actual event. This volunteering is eligible for most fraternity/sorority, school or work service hours. For additional information or to volunteer, contact the Department of Housing at housing@depaul.edu or (773) 325-7196.
