 F1 OPT Winter 2025

Optional Practical Training (OPT) is an opportunity for students who complete their degree to remain lawfully in the U.S. if employed. OPT students, although no longer taking classes at DePaul, are still under DePaul’s aegis in front of the federal government. While a regular OPT lasts 12 months, students graduating from a STEM program can extend their OPT to 36 months.

Study Abroad Fall / December Winter Break


  • 471 Blue Demons studied abroad in 25 different countries
    • 184 enrolled at one of 18 different DePaul partner institutions in Europe, Asia, or Latin America
    • 287 participated in 15 programs sponsored by the Colleges of Business, Computing and Digital Media, Education,  Liberal Arts and Social Sciences,  Science and Health, and Law
    • 32 faculty and staff led our students in these high impact experiences 

GLE wrap up for Fall  


In Fall 2024-25, 13 Global Learning Experience projects were implemented with international partners from 9 countries (Argentina, Brazil, China, Colombia, India, Japan, Nigeria, South Korea, Ukraine), involving 218 DePaul students.
