As Clarissa Pinkola Estes states: "To be ourselves causes us to be exiled by many others, and yet to comply with what others want causes us to be exiled from ourselves". Andrea (she/her(s)/ella) seeks to create a down to earth therapeutical relationship with individuals to foster personal growth and encourage you to live your life authentically.

Andrea has worked with a wide range of clinical populations in a community mental health and private practice setting. Andrea primarily conceptualizes from a psychodynamic approach but incorporates other theoretical approaches when working with individuals to nurture a holistic approach that takes into consideration and seeks to address all parts of your life.

Prior to joining DePaul University's Counseling & Psychological Services, Andrea worked as a bilingual therapist at Touchstone Therapy Center in the suburbs of Vernon Hills providing mental health services such as individual, couple/relationship and family therapy to the surrounding communities. Additionally, Andrea is attending a post-grad psychotherapy program at Lifeworks Psychotherapy Center.

Clinical Interests

In terms of clinical interest, Andrea is passionate about working with individuals of diverse cultural/ethnic backgrounds, gender/sexual/relationship identities, socioeconomical status, and/or those who have experienced spiritual/religious traumas.

Fun Fact

When Andrea is not spending time with her family and traveling around the U.S and internationally, you can find her exploring coffee shops throughout Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
