Relevant Experience

As Carl Jung stated “I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become”. Ariana (she/her) works to build collaborative and organic relationships with students while encouraging them to create their own meaning by providing a safe space for exploration. She works to support students in achieving goals by taking small manageable steps though fostering inner strength.

Ariana has worked with a wide range of clinical populations in private practice and inpatient hospital settings. Ariana primarily conceptualizes from a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) perspective but also incorporates a holistic approach in order to provide true individualized care, matching the specific needs of students.

Prior to joining DePaul University’s Counseling & Psychological Services, Ariana worked as a clinician in a private practice in the suburb of Naperville. Ariana provided individual counseling services to the surrounding communities addressing issues such as life transitions, identity exploration, anxiety, and depression.

Clinical Interests

In terms of clinical interests, Ariana enjoys working with individuals navigating life transitions, interpersonal relationships, and exploration of identity. Ariana is also passionate about working with those within the Latinx community.

Fun Fact

Ariana enjoys her time reading, listening to a wide variety of music, and drinking coffee. Her hobbies include binge-watching K-Dramas and crocheting.
