At DePaul University, Rod Waters is Director of
the Department of Housing & Residence Life (also known as DePaul
Housing). In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the management
of the department, which includes housing occupancy and operations,
responding to student crises, creating a sense of community, managing
the residential student conduct process, and providing residential
students with high-quality opportunities for engagement. DePaul Housing
programs and services build a relational, residential community where
students are encouraged to learn and develop holistically.
Rod
has been with DePaul since August 2015, starting as the Director of
Residential Education. Prior to coming to DePaul, Rod served as the
director of Residence Life & Housing at Suffolk University.
Additional experiences include working at the University of
California-Santa Cruz, University of Washington, Seattle, Curry College,
and Bay State College. Rod earned his BA in Sociology and MSW in
Clinical Social Work, both from Boston College.
