Sabrina (Sabs) Salvador (she/they) is the APIDA Cultural Center Coordinator at DePaul University. In their role, Sabs creates opportunities and experiences for APIDA students to be their authentic selves, share their cultures, and build community. She hopes to raise awareness about and celebrate stories within the APIDA diaspora. Sabs is passionate about supporting students with marginalized and intersectional identities and creating connections between students, faculty, staff, and the greater Chicago community.
Prior to this role, Sabs studied and gained experiences at DePaul for the past five years. They supported students, created resources, and implemented programming with the Career Center’s Health Care & Science Career Community and the Office of Student Involvement’s Student Organizations Community. Through community research opportunities such as The Cities Project and Chicago Asian American Psychology Lab, Sabs also learned about and supported the needs and goals of marginalized communities.
As a Double Demon, Sabs received their B.S. in Psychology and is currently pursuing a M.Ed. in College Counseling and Student Affairs.
