Jane (she/her/hers) is the coordinator for the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Cultural Center at DePaul University. In her role, she co-creates programs with students to critically examine power and its locations while centering intersections of race, class, sexuality, gender and ability. Jane implements this vision by providing space for community building and facilitating discussions that deconstruct and bring awareness to the experiences of the APIDA community. In this work, she also collaborates with the Black Cultural Center, Latinx Cultural Center, and the LGBTQIA+ Resource Center to provide intersectional programming.
Prior to DePaul, she worked in non-profit organizations that center holistic development for students with diverse identities, including Asian Americans Advancing | Chicago and Youth & Opportunity United.
Jane earned her bachelor of science in nursing at Loyola University Chicago. She is also an alumna of DePaul, where she received her MEd in education, culture and society.
