Gustavo Licón (he/him) is the assistant director of the Office of Multicultural Student Success. In his role, Gustavo aims to create a welcoming, inclusive and nurturing environment that facilitates student achievement and empowerment.
Prior to DePaul, Gustavo was an associate professor and the coordinator of Latinx Studies within the Center for the Study of Culture, Race and Ethnicity at Ithaca College.
Gustavo earned a BA in Latin American and Caribbean studies from Brown University, followed by a Master's and PhD in history from the University of Southern California.
Gustavo enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking and participating in community events.
