Neyda Diaz joined DePaul University in July 2024 as the Residence Director of University Hall. In her role, she supervises Resident Assistants and advises the Residence Hall Council.
Born and raised in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, Neyda earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University. She furthered her education in Dekalb, IL, obtaining a master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from Northern Illinois University.
Combining her passion for social work and student affairs, Neyda is dedicated to developing programs that center community building, mental health, and harm reduction.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and taking walks near Lake Michigan.
