Nate Axdorff (he/him) is the assistant director of employer engagement for the Career Center. Axdorff specifically works with Education, Nonprofit, Government (ENPG) & Media, Communications, Arts and Entertainment (MCAE) career communities. He also oversees the On-Campus Interview (OCI) program that helps students and employers connect in-person on campus. He is passionate about connecting local organizations with students, staff, and faculty to provide job opportunities, sustainable networks, and radical collaboration.
Prior to joining the team at the Career Center, Axdorff worked for DePaul in the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business as the assistant director career specialist. Axdorff has also worked in career services at Michigan Technological University, Grand Rapids Community College, and Grand Valley State University (GVSU). From 2017-2019, Axdorff served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Machala, Ecuador. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hope College and a master's degree in higher education from GVSU. He is originally from Grand Rapids, MI.
In his spare time, Axdorff likes to garden, grow houseplants, forage for wild plants around Chicagoland, cook food, rollerblade, and attend music shows. He lives in West Town with his partner, Chris. Axdorff aspires to move into a director role in the future, and hopes to further the Diversity, Inclusion, Equity & Belongingness (DEIB) at DePaul University and beyond.
