Jaclyn Pachicano, PhD

​Relevant Experience
Dr. Pachicano is currently a postdoctoral clinician working towards her license as a Clinical Psychologist. Dr. Pachicano has training and experience in individual, couples, and group psychotherapy. Her therapeutic approach is integrative and multicultural and draws from Psychodynamic Therapy and Emotion-Focused Therapy, while also adding Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), depending on the client’s concerns and goals for treatment.

In her relationships with clients, she prioritizes collaboration and honoring values as important components of the healing process. She is especially passionate about working with people from marginalized communities and approaching therapy from a decolonial and social justice orientation.

Clinical Interests
Dr. Pachicano specializes in working with mood and anxiety disorders, identity development, interpersonal relationship concerns, life transitions, and young adults. Prior to joining DePaul University, she had experience working in community mental health, private practice, crisis services, and college counseling settings. Dr. Pachicano completed her APA-accredited internship at The University of Miami Counseling Center. Her dissertation and research interests include the unique mental health experiences and risk factors of people who are LGBTQ+  and Latine/x.

Fun Fact
In her free time, Dr. Pachicano loves being anywhere with live music, relaxing by the lake, and spending time with friends and family. Her hobbies include reading, embroidery, and listening to k-pop.
