Ellen Herion Fingado, MEd


Ellen Herion Fingado currently serves as Dean of Students and Deputy Title IX Coordinator for students. As dean of students, Ellen supervises the professional staff within the dean of students office, provides leadership in institutional advocacy and retention initiatives for students, manages the Student Conduct Process and Code of Student Responsibility and oversees crises management and emergency protocols involving students. Ellen serves on the University's Student Care Team and also oversees the Office of Veteran Affairs.

Ellen has extensive experience working in housing & residential life, conduct & conflict resolution, and behavioral intervention. Ellen’s professional interests are in student conduct administration, Title IX and crisis management. Ellen has served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) and is a trained mediator. 

Ellen holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Illinois State University and a master’s in education with a concentration in student affairs leadership from Grand Valley State University.​
