Ellen Herion Fingado currently serves as Assistant Vice President of Wellbeing for the Division of Student Affairs and chairs the University's Student Care Team. Previously, Ellen served as the Dean of Students supervising the professional staff within the Dean of Students Office, also providing leadership in institutional advocacy and retention initiatives for students, managing the Student Conduct Process and Code of Student Responsibility, and overseeing crises management and emergency protocols involving students.
Ellen has extensive experience working in housing and residential life, conduct and conflict resolution, and behavioral intervention. Ellen’s professional interests are in student conduct administration, Title IX, and crisis management. Ellen has served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Student Conduct Administration (ASCA) and is a trained mediator.
Ellen holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Illinois State University and a master’s in education with a concentration in student affairs leadership from Grand Valley State University.
