Ellen Herion Fingado, MEd


Ellen Herion Fingado currently serves as Dean of Students and Deputy Title IX Coordinator. As dean of students, Ellen supervises three assistant deans and provides leadership in institutional advocacy and retention initiatives for students, manages the Student Conduct Process and Code of Student Responsibility and oversees crises management and emergency protocols involving students.

Ellen has been at DePaul University since 2013 and has previously served as assistant dean of students and associate dean of students in the Division of Student Affairs.   

Ellen has experience working in housing & residential life, campus women’s centers and student conduct and conflict resolution. Ellen’s professional interests are in student conduct administration, Title IX and crisis management. Ellen has served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Student Conduct Administration and is a trained mediator. 

Ellen holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Illinois State University and a master’s in education with a concentration in student affairs leadership from Grand Valley State University.​
