Destinee Guice, MS


Destinee Guice (she/her/hers) joined the DePaul community in 2021 as a Sophomore Student Retention Specialist in the department of Academic Continuity and Engagement (ACE). In her role, Destinee supports sophomore students of historically marginalized identities by providing academic coaching services that connect students to campus resources that foster academic, professional, and personal growth and development. Destinee nurtures students resiliency so that they may confront adversity with confidence in their ability to be triumphant.

Prior to her current role, Destinee studied mass communication with a focus in language and knowledge construction, identity, race consciousness, systemic racism, and African American rhetoric.

Destinee holds a M.S. in Mass Communication from Illinois State University, a B.S. in Public Relations from Illinois State University, and a certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida. ​
