Andres Velazquez (he/him/his) joined
the DePaul community in 2021. In his role as a retention specialist,
Andres supports Sophomore and Junior students holding historically
marginalized identities as they navigate DePaul. In doing so, Andres
provides 1 on 1 student coaching that assists students in their
academic, personal, and professional growth, and connects students with
relevant resources within and outside the institution.
Prior to his current role, Andres worked in various positions within
higher education, including financial services and undergraduate
admissions. Andres earned his bachelor’s degree in
Sociology-Anthropology and Political Science from Middlebury College.
